Mission:
Errand of Mercy
Location: Main Sickbay - Quarantine Area
Timeline: After Keep Sutherland Breathing
--Past--
"He has severe burns to his chest, but it has missed his heart." He set the med-kit on the floor and pulled out an osteogenerator to quickly sealed the epidermis of his skin. Maybe too late if the virus has set in through the damage tissues, he thought. After it was sealed, "we need to get him to sickbay in quarantine..."
"Agreed Doctor, though I think we can breathe easy if he had been infected he would be showing signs by now. Secure the virus in your transporting case and clear out. I'm sure Mr. Sutherland will be pleased you are caring for him." Azura said from outside the room, after Sutherland was removed her would head to his ready room and mull over what was going on on his ship.

ON:
Mikail is confident in his work at all times. He didn't expect the Commanding Officer to guide him by the hand slightly when he approached Scott's quarters to retrieve Sutherland. His presence on the USS Redemption is fairly new, but it must have been forgotten that he has been a doctor for six years.
Still in the bio-suit, he went through a level 10 containment field in an area off to the side of sickbay, only used for any emergencies. His patient is settled on a biobed and hooked up to the monitors wirelessly. Glancing at it, Mikail was making sure that his vitals were stable, for now. He moved to a tray off to one side of the room, containing the hypodermic needle and the canister.
Observing the strange instrument that was inside the man's vein, the doctor knew that it was an ancient practice of medicine several centuries ago that this generation would see it as torture. The canister has been scanned earlier, contained ten percent water, sixty percent of a hydrocodone as a painkiller, and thirty percent of morbillivirus-filoviridae mixed of viruses. Someone came up with the name "Hadronus". What he didn't realize that this so-called virus was brought on board from the planet below.
The problem he found was highly contagious was the filoviridae that was similar on Earth's history as Marburg or Ebola. Morbillivirus is similar to measles, completely eradicated on Earth. Whoever mixed these viruses, is a mad scientist. Why was this guy part of it? He placed the canister in a sealed bio-hazard container which will have to be expelled from the ship as soon as possible.
After the burns were sealed and healed, Mikail did a deep scan of the man's entire body for any viruses that might have gotten inside. It was a big surprise that the scans turned out to be negative and he sighed with relief. Sutherland was removed from the quarantine area to an intensive care unit only for twenty-four hours.
Mikail wondered where Doctor Afton has disappeared to. He hasn't seen her after he arrived to the quarantine area. Ahead of time, he requested a security officer to guard outside the area where the bio-hazard container with the canister is kept, so that it doesn't end up in the wrong hands. He removed the bio-suits and discarded them.
He felt the weariness creeping up on him after using all his expertise with a delicate situation. A situation that could have ended badly. He walked into his office and dropped the PADD onto his desk. He went around the furniture and slumped into his chair. He let out a sigh. The gritty feeling lining his eyelids came noticeably and he closed them for a minute or two. Mikail opened his eyes to look down at the PADD as he picked it up to start writing information on Sutherland's medical profile.
