Mikail stayed in the office to rest his back more and let the nurses do the monitoring, unless they need him for something out of the ordinary. The back brace around his torso provides support to his healing. He wasn't that comfortable wearing it, but it will be used for a day or two. He was half drugged when the Captain came to check on him yesterday and dropped the news, that he needed him to be the Acting Chief Medical Officer for a short period of time until Doctor Afton returns. His long term goal is to one day be in charge.

Hank popped his head into the office. "Hello Doctor, how are you feeling?" He asked with his typical bedside manner charm.

"Hello, Hank. Still sore but hate this back brace. I can't complain. Is everything going okay out there?" He glanced up from the desk.

Hank nodded as his full frame came into the door. "Yes Doctor, everything is squared away out here." He came in the office "Want me to look at the brace, I might be able to adjust some of the settings to make it more comfortable without reducing its effectiveness."

Doctor Kolmak stood up from his chair and nodded. "Sure, I would appreciate that," he said, raising his arms to a right angle on both sides. "I will be glad to feel normal soon."

Hank moved around the desk and pulled out his medical tricorder. He linked it to the brace and compared it to the readout on the brace itself.

"Hmmm... mhmm... right... Ah!" Hank saw that one of the settings had been inputted wrong. He modified that and went back "Ahhh yeah that's what I thought." The main setting had been a variable which altered other settings. While it would help the doctor heal it would be more painful. He watched as the secondary settings readjusted themselves.

"It will never be comfortable but it should be less uncomfortable now. How does it feel?" He asked as he snapped his tricorder closed.

Mikail put his arms down and sat down in his chair. "Much better and less pain. Thanks! I am thankful that Doctor Barron came at the right place and right time to fix ma back. Is there any cases that I need to look at? How is Mister Taylor doing with his burns that he sustained in engineering?"

Hank shrugged slightly "Taylor is doing well enough given the injuries he's sustained. The Sub-dermal Regenerator is working well and he should be ready for light duty in a few days provided no infections crop up."

He nodded and picked up the PADD. "There are some crew members we need to address that has skipped their physicals. Ensign Pols, Sergeant Major William Bourne, Gunnery Sergeant Kris Danger, Ensign Saris, and a few others. Never met any of those crew members. I want Nurse Reeves do some patient care to get more experience as a nurse. He will become a full-fledged medic some day."

Hand nodded "I'll let Reeves know and I'll sent messages to all on the list that they need to come in for their physicals."

"That's good to know. Anything else going on?"

Grey shook his head. "No sir. But the scuttlebutt is that we've found the trail of the ship we've been looking for so we might have some patients soon."

"I've missed the meeting so I didn't hear about that," Mikail paused to shift a little in his chair. "Triaging patients first is a must. If it gets overwhelming with too many to treat, do call in the back-up techs. No need to pull in other medical personnel from other shifts. I assume that Major Afton will not be in here unless it is an emergency or the last minute needs. Are the surgical and trauma trays prepped and ready?"

Hank nodded "Yes sir, I've been going over supplies and setting up the trays myself. I've got the nurses on stand by in case we need to pull from other shifts and have alerted the Marine detachment that we may need to borrow some of their medics if things get to hairy. I have the head nurses on each shift going over triage routines with their nurses to make sure that were able to handle anything that's thrown at us no matter what shift it is."

"Great! Then we are well prepared," he gave him a short smile and a nod.

"Quite Lieutenant." Hank grinned back "If there's nothing else I'll head back to my rounds and I'll give you a shout if your needed."
